About Agape Estate Sales

Agape Estate Sales is an estate liquidation and consulting company dedicated to aiding those needing our services with compassion and attention to detail. We customize our services to the particular needs of each individual client. If you need to liquidate quickly we will. If you want to take your time to insure your antiques and collectables get into the right hands, then that is what we will do.

We will do our best to make sure our clients needs are met in order to help them navigate through an often stressful situation.

We are excited to introduce our VIP Customer Emailing List. We have already established a mailing list of frequent customers that don't mind traveling to a good sale. This new feature is a great asset to our client's and the customers that attend the sales by increasing the exposure of sought after items in advance.
What is the advantage to the Client?

More exposure means a greater chance for getting your items in front of people who appreciate their value.

What's in it for the Customer?

Our VIP Customers have the advantage of finding out what items of specific interest to them will be available at the sale via email and/or text message. We are accepting submissions to our e-mail and text lists. If you are interested in becoming a VIP then please contact us!

Why Us?

Agape is the highest form of love and charity. It represents the love of God for man and of man for God. It is our mission to aid each and every client through, what is most often, a very difficult and emotional situation with care and compassion throughout the process.

We understand that people work very hard to create a place called home and that there is nothing more difficult than saying goodbye to the valuables and keepsakes that represent that feeling.

We don't see junk. We see a collection of memories and milestones that need to be represented as such.

We have a network of Antique Dealers and private buyers, so that we can get your valued collectables in the hands of someone who will respect the time and effort it took to gather your valuable memories. This allows our clients many liquidation options to choose from.
Services

A quick step by step explanation of what we do...

Step 1: Intake

Greetings... We are Agape Estate Sales and we are pleased to meet you!

The first stage of our service involves our initial interview with you. At this time we will meet with you in order to get a full understanding of your needs and expectations. We will answer any questions you may have and ask a few of our own. It will be necessary to perform a walk-through at some time during this visit in order to identify what will be available in the Estate Sale and what you intend to keep. This step also allows us to get an idea of how much manpower and resources should be necessary to host a successful estate sale.

We do ask that you identify all that is available for the sale and all that should be excluded during this step so that we may accurately plan the logistics and execution of your sale.

Step 2: Securing and Care of Special Items

We don't ever see your valuables as "JUNK"!

If we come to a mutual agreement our next step is to secure valuables such as jewelry, coins and other small collectables in order to accomplish two things.

First - We want to make sure that these items aren't left unattended to reduce the chance of theft during the sale.

Second - This allows us the opportunity to go directly to dealers and collectors of those items and increases the chance of us getting you the best price we can for said valuables. This, also makes funds immediately available for our client in the case of emergencies.

Step 3: Staging

It can not sell if it is not seen

During this process we do all the necessary cleaning, organizing and merchandising. This process can take as little as a week to as long as three weeks depending on the size of the property and the amount of pieces to sort and stage.

It is important that the client has not thrown anything away or removed anything from the sale.

The reason - Our budget for covering the cost of labor, advertisement and other resources are based off of the original intake and the estimated value of the items in question. All of the costs mentioned are deducted from our commission rate. We have no hidden charges or fees, so we have a limited margin for error in our assessments and estimations.

It is customary for the client to be off property from this stage until the sale's end due to the extreme emotions and the difficulties of seeing a life's worth of memories being prepared for sale. For some it is to much. One of the main reasons companies like ours are hired is in order to avoid such situations.

Step 4: Pricing

If we don't know, we call an expert.

Once we have completed the staging process we begin pricing. This step involves painstaking research and assistance from our network of antique dealers, merchants and collectors in order to determine the proper value of your items. This process can take as little as a day to as long as a week depending on the quantity of rare and / or specialty items in question.

Step 5: The Sale

This is where the real fun begins!

Once we have completed the pricing progress we are ready to begin the sale. The beginning and end of the sale is usually the Friday, Saturday and Sunday following the completion of pricing, but we will do whatever we can to accommodate our client within reason.

If we do not sell all of the designated items by the end of the sale period we will contact our network of closeout buyers and sell the rest of the remaining items as a single lot.

Final Step: Clean Up

It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it.

Once all is said and done we bring in a crew to broom clean the property. This step can take as little as half a day to three days depending on the size of the property and the amount of debris accumulated during the sale.
