"If you are searching for a classic of your own or need to liquidate a loved one's estate, we can help."
When customers ask us if conducting a sale is a sad experience, my reply is "Not at all. We are celebrating a life and finding a good home for the loved one's prized possessions."
Insured and certified
Laurie McRae never rests! She has a busy interior design practice and still loves every day of it, even after 33 years. She started fresh out of the University of Georgia with her interior design degree. While working full time on residences, offices, restaurants, model homes and historic restoration, Laurie has continued to set herself apart with her professional accomplishments. She is a professional member of ASID, the American Society of Interior Designers.
Laurie is also certified in kitchen and bath design by education and examination required by the National Kitchen and Bath Association. She is an NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) certificate holder and serves on the Council's Board of Directors and is President Elect of the council. Laurie is licensed by the state as a Registered Interior Designer and served on the Georgia State Board of Architects and Interior Designers. Augusta doesn't lose out on her energy, as she sits on the Board of Directors of the Imperial Theatre and has participated in several fundraisers for Historic Augusta and Hope House.
Laurie prides herself on her ability to discern her client's needs and tastes. She feels that her talent of interpretation comes from her study and teaching of historical styles. Antiques are her second love. She has developed a course on the evolution of design in American Antiques, which she teaches in Atlanta to interior designers an collectors. While Laurie has a special passion for antiques, she enjoys creating from all periods and styles. "A classic is timeless," she says. "A 1950s classic can be as enduring as a 1750 classic." Laurie is especially engaged when a client hires her to do the correct thing for a home or office, whatever the space asks for. She loves helping her clients acquire classics of their own.
